Mexican authorities complete interviews of workers, guests in slaying of producer's wife
April 14, 2010
Mexican authorities said they have completed interviews with hotel workers at a Cancun resort where the wife of TV producer Bruce Beresford-Redman was found slain last week.
Prosecutors in Cancun would not reveal to Mexican media representatives the details of the interviews but said that those interviewed generally agreed on most details. Authorities have also interviewed some guests who reported said they saw the couple arguing shortly before Monica Beresford-Redman was reported missing.
Prosecutors said the timeline the producer provided about his wife's disappearance appeared to clash with those of some witnesses.
Bruce Beresford-Redman, a producer on CBS' "Survivor" and MTV's "Pimp My Ride," is considered a "person of interest" in his wife's death but has not been arrested. Mexican prosecutors said they were awaiting toxicology results before deciding whether to arrest him.
Monica Beresford-Redman, a Westside nightclub owner, was strangled to death and sustained several blows to the head, authorities said. She died sometime on April 5, and her husband reported her missing the next day. Her body was found Thursday, dumped in a sewer. Authorities reportedly don't believe she was killed there.

On Friday, Beresford-Redman, 38, was released by state police in Mexico after being questioned. He is barred from leaving Mexico until the investigation is completed. He has denied any role in the slaying of his wife.
Family members said the couple had gone to Mexico for a romantic getaway intended to revive a strained marriage. Guests at the Moon Palace Hotel in Cancun reported hearing a loud fight coming from the room the couple shared with their children.
Bruce Beresford-Redman's father, David Beresford-Redman, said in a statement that his son "loved [his wife] and would never have harmed her. He has our full support as we try to do what's best for him and our grandchildren so they can be reunited soon."
The statement continued: "We urge Mexican law enforcement authorities to identify those responsible for this horrendous crime."

Murder Mystery Update...
The wife of Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman's body was discovered in a sewer below a Cancun hotel days after she went missing during a family vacation.
Since then, quite a bit of evidence has made Bruce the primary suspect, yet he's currently stuck in Mexico as the case is investigated.
Monica's sister, Carla Burgos, revealed that Monica had discovered her husband was having an affair, and now claims that the mistress was a co-worker on the reality series!
This is so sad! This scares me that he won't have to deal with U.S. police but Mexican. I honestly believe that they only reason the Natalee Holloway case wasn't solved was because it wasn't the U.S. Police/F.B.I. who handled the situation. If that murder happened in the U.S., someone would be rotting in jail right now. I hope this pig does not get away with it!

A new product...Legendary Eyes
I was excited to try this new product, Legendary Eyes by Biotonix. It comes in a case with two packaged eye slices. When I opened up one of the packages I saw a green piece. It was very gooey and had an uncanny resemblance to a cucumber. So I thought why should I put this on my eye instead of a cucumber? I was eager to see the difference. I had to dab off the excess moisture with a napkin then I placed it on my eye. It was cold when I first put it on. Like really cold. After a few seconds I started to adjust to the surprisingly cold temperature. I leaned back and relaxed on my couch and let the green, cold eye slices work its magic. I left them on for about 10 minutes. When I took them off I put them back in packages because the label said I could use one pair for a few uses. I then looked in the mirror to see if my face miraculously changed-it didn't. Though my skin did feel nice. The only downfall was that the liquid on the eye patch had a distinct smell which was left lingering on my face. After washing my face, the smell went away and my skin still felt refreshed.
So would I use it again? If givin to me I would use them but otherwise I think a cucumber would do the job just fine. I do not know how much this retails for.

Another Murder Mystery......
While vacationing in Cancun, Mexico "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman's wife was found dead!! Where did they find her body you may ask. No, not in a hotel room. Not on a beach. IN A SEWER!!! A Mexican SEWER!
Cops suspect her husband to be behind this disgusting act. He called the police on Monday that his wife, Monica, was missing after she left the Moon Palace Hotel and did not return.
"I'm very hopeful someone will find my wife very soon," the producer told a Los Angeles radio station on Tuesday. "She still hasn't been located and we're looking."
After two days of searching, police found 41-year-old Monica Beresford-Redman's body near the hotel where she was on a family vacation.
Beresford-Redman has not been charged with a crime but is being questioned by investigators, an official in the attorney general's office in the state of Quintana Roo told the Associated Press.
Monica Beresford-Redman's sister, 46-year-old Carla Burgos, of Torrance, Calif., was devastate by the news.
"They were having some troubles, but I didn't think he was capable of something like that," Burgos said.
She would not elaborate on what "troubles" the couple was having.
"She was such a strong and smart and lively person," Burgos said. "I would imagine nobody could do anything bad to her. Anybody close to her would be in love with her."
The Beresford-Redman family was set to return home to LA on Thursday.
Beresford-Redman, who grew up in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., is also the executive producer and co-creator of MTV's "Pimp My Ride."
DISGUSTING! Ugh. Too many of these incidents happen and yet I find them intriguing but in 50 years when i'm living in a shoe surrounded by cats i'll say oh i didn't get married because men tend to throw women in dumpsters/ mexican sewers after murdering them!!

Tonight!
I finally finished the book, The Last Song. I am going with the roomie tonight to go see the movie. I love reading books then seeing how they destroy it in the movies (i.e The Time Travelers Wife). I will give you all my review in the A.M.
MY REVIEW: Miley Cyrus was not all that bad in the movie. Her boyfriend, however, was. Thank god he was pretty to make up for it. Was it as good as the book? Nope. The movie didn't necessarily destroy the book but it didn't give it justice. Who saw it?? I wanna here from you! I don't know what else to say without giving away the book/movie. Sorry folks.
